Basic Rules

Objective

Guess the secret word in as few tries as possible. Bob will provide hints to help you along the way!

How to Play

  • 1.Type your guess in the input field
  • 2.If your guess is wrong, Bob will reveal a hint (4 levels of hints available)
  • 3.Each hint gets progressively more specific
  • 4.Keep guessing until you find the correct word
  • 5.Your score is based on how many guesses you used and how fast you were
Bob's 4-Tier Hint System
Each hint level reveals more information about the word

Tier 1: Category Hint (Vague)

Bob gives you a very broad hint about the word's category or theme.

Example: "Think of something related to transportation"

Tier 2: Descriptive Hint (Moderate)

Bob provides more specific details about the word's characteristics.

Example: "It has four wheels and an engine"

Tier 3: Contextual Hint (Specific)

Bob gives you usage context or a more specific description.

Example: "People use it to commute to work every day"

Tier 4: Strong Hint (Very Specific)

Bob provides a very strong hint that narrows down the possibilities significantly.

Example: "It rhymes with 'star' and is a common type of vehicle"

Scoring System
Your score is based on efficiency (fewer guesses) and speed

Scoring Formula

Score = 1000 - (guessCount × 100) - (timeInSeconds × 2)

Minimum score: 100 points (even if you take many guesses or lots of time)
